Hakan Meral – 2nd Translation Village Event

Hakan Meral

Hakan Meral

Hakan successfully completed the first stage of his struggle to survive at Istanbul, and set out towards Trakya University for his education on Translation and Interpretation. Taking an active role in the efforts of Trakya University Translation Club (TÜÇEV) and The Union of Translation Students (TÜÇEB), Hakan was graduated in 2012. After working as a freelance translator for a while, he had localization training in ES Academy for 1 year. After completing his training, he took part in the translation projects of major software companies as an in-house employee of ES Language Services. After his military service, he lived in Istanbul and worked as a freelance translator-copy editor for international translation companies, then returned to the office work after 1 year of freelance experience. He has been working on the projects of major software companies in LocPro Language Services. Hakan currently maintains a life in Akyaka as peaceful as it gets, offering localization services to LocPro Language Services through the remote working model.

He’s interested in philosophy, wants to be interested in literature, strives to keep track of technology and its effects on life from his tiny, little world in Akyaka.
